3月9日から12日まで開催いたしましたICカードとICタグの総合展「IC CARD WORLD 2010」は閉幕いたしました。生活やビジネスに不可欠なインフラとなったICカードに関連する製品やサービスやソリューションを一堂に展示し、非接触ICカード技術方式「FeliCa」をテーマとした特別企画展「FeliCa World」や、カード決済に焦点を当てる新企画「カード決済パビリオン」、注目の規格「NFC」の動向を伝える「NFCカンファレンス」とともに、活発な情報発信が行われました。
March 12, 2010 Integrated exhibition "IC CARD WORLD 2010" of IC card and the IC tag held from March 9 to the 12th ended. The product, service, and the solution that related to IC card that had become an indispensable infrastructure to life and the business were exhibited to a temple, and an active information sending was done with "NFC conference" that told the trend of noteworthy "Card settlement pavilion" of the new project that applied the focus to special special exhibition "FeliCa World" and the card settlement in which contactless IC card technological method "FeliCa" was assumed to be a theme, standard "NFC".

デビットカード人気は世界的な流れに
島国であるという点で日本と比較されることも多いイギリスですが、生活者のクレジットカードやデビットカードの利用状況は、日本とはすごくかけ離れています。
まず、発行枚数を見ると、クレジットカードが約7,300万枚であるのに対して、デビットカードは約7,600万枚が発行されています。イギリスでカード利用の対象となる成人人口は4,500～4,600万人と言われますので、平均すると1人当たり1.5枚のデビットカードを持っていることになりますね。つまり、英国民にとっては、デビットカードのほうがクレジットカードよりもメジャーな存在になりつつあります。
日本では「J-Debit（ジェイデビット）」の名前で知られているデビットカードですが、要するに、カードを利用するとその時点で自分の預金口座から利用代金が引き落とされる仕組みのカードです。分割払いやリボ払いに限らず、1回払いであっても、基本的にはカード会社が立替払いしてくれるクレジットカードとは、仕組みがまったく違います。

It doesn't limit to installments and the revolving credit, and even if it is payment once, the mechanism is basically different from the credit card that the consumer credit industry defrays quite.
